Jacob & Breauna Hair UPDATE!

Hey cousins! Jacob here.

Since it's been several years since I have talked to or seen you guys I have a lot to update you on!

We have been living in Portland, OR for 5 years now. Wow time flies!

I love it up here. We are close to everything: ocean, lakes, rivers, mountain, downtown Portland...it's awesome.

We purchased a house (3 bedroom, 1.5 bath) 6 months after we moved up here and we are almost done remodeling it. We remodeled the entire inside and finally finished the outside. :) Looks like all that handyman work my Dad taught me payed off since I have done everything on my own and saved us a ton of money.

This is what the outside of the house used to look like with cedar shakes.

I replaced the shakes with hardiplank siding and replaced all the windows. It looks so much better!

Here's our detached garage. It got the same facelift as the house. Oh yeah! :)

Here are some pics of the inside of our house. This is our living room. We replaced some nasty white painted brick with this rock around the pellet stove. Much better. I still need to put the trim cap on the railing for the stairs but one thing at a time right...?

Here is a look from the top of the stairs looking down at the front door.

Breauna and I just had our 5 year anniversary back in March. We went on an awesome vacation to a resort in Mazatlan, Mexico for 8 days.

Here is a picture from the balcony of our condo. It was beautiful there!

Quick pic before we went and hit the pool! :)

My beautiful wife ready to go eat a nice Mexican dinner:
As far as jobs go I work for a company called SolvOne. We handle dispatching for fueling stations all over the United States. It seems like all I have been doing lately is hiring and firing people...we are growing a lot. 2 years ago we only had 30 employees and we now have 60+. It's a great job and pays well so that's all I can ask for :) Breauna, works at a credit union as a loan officer. She has been there for 5 years now.

Breauna and I have had our spell of bad luck over the past year and a half.

Breauna had to have surgery last year because they found a benign tumor in her head between her sinus cavity and her skull and it had to be removed. That took a pretty big toll on her and gave us quite a scare. Luckily the surgery went well and she is totally recovered and life is great. :)

Then it was my turn this year. I was playing basketball back in January and I snapped my Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) and also tore my meniscus. Not fun at all. I had ACL re-constructive surgery on my knee in March and I have not been able to do any type of physical activity for over 6 months now. It's a real drag because I love to play sports and hate sitting around doing nothing. I did get a sweet scar though.

Here's a pic:
To answer all your questions about kids, Yes we have been married for 5 years and still don't have any little mini-me's running around, not by choice though.

We have been trying to have kids for 4 1/2 years now. To be honest, I don't know if we will ever be able to have kids but if the Lord wants us to, I'm sure we will. I have been to the Urologist and all that good jazz and we are continuing to try and have kids but it might never happen.

We do have a dog (rottweiler) named Luka. Here's a pic:

I have 4 nephews and 2 nieces now. Here is a pic of my oldest nephew Kaden. He's a stud.

As you all know Jason just had a baby girl on July 3rd.! Here is a great pic of my mom, Grandma J, baby Adelyn and her proud father. My parents are stoked since this is their first grandchild.

Here is a great pic of my Dad with baby Adelyn:

I guess I have posted plenty for now and updated you guys on the last 5 years of my life. More to come.

Great idea on putting this blog together!!!!!!

Take it easy guys.
